Worcester’s first-ever Cranksgiving Ride!
Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels.
Part bike ride, part food drive, and part scavenger hunt.
All you need is a bike, a bag, and a lock!
There is no charge, but bring about $10-15 to purchase food items from a list at grocery stores that will be distributed at the start.
The food purchased will go to benefit Worcester Head Start families in partnership with Black Seed Farmers Market and WooRides.
Meet by noon at Worcester Earn-a-Bike at 4 King Street, Worcester to register and get instructions. Finish by 4 p.m. at 3Cross Brewing Company at 26 Cambridge Street for the after party and prizes.
Cranksgiving started in New York City in 1999, and there are now nearly 80 independently organized events across the globe. The event has its roots in bike messenger alleycats, but there are no requirements other than “get food” and “do it on a bike”.
